Discover the South Finistere

While staying at the campsite, make a detour to Bénodet and visit its sandy beaches, casino, marina and free concerts on Friday evening during the season and fireworks on July 14, renowned for their splendor. On the other bank of the river Odet lies St. Marine with the most charming little harbour of the whole area -- the pearl of the country of Bigouden.

Make a small step back in history and visit the first shelter for seamen, built by Jacques de Tézac. You can get there by ferry or by car over the bridge which offers stunning views over the River Odet - the most beautiful river in France and the bay of Bénodet.

Even today the tradition of embroidery in Pont l'Abbé is still vivid. The history of Bigouden awaits you at the Museum of Costume in Pont l'Abbé.

cathédrale de QuimperQuimper, the capital of Cornwall and city of art and history, with ancient architecture, typical of Britanny before the revolution. The history of pottery  in general and the pottery Henriot in particular is told in the museum of ceramics, where artists show their their techniques. A small train invites you to enter in the history of Quimper, its cobbled streets, its half-timbered facades, statues decorating the houses, old walls dating from the 13th century and the cathedral of Saint Corentin- perfect for enthusiasts of historical walks.

Rides and sea crossings

A Beg Meil, embark on the star of the Odet for a cruise or a voyage to the archipelago Glénan, birthplace of great navigators, famous for its clear seabed and its sailing school.

ville close de Concarneau The sight is great, but in order to preserve the flora and breeding birds,you may not acces all the small islands, though. You can also take the boat from Beg Meil to Concarneau to discover its essential town-close, like a boat moored in the harbor and surrounded by ramparts, the old fortified city is one of the most visited places of Britanny. Browse the city at high tide in all its beauty. Artisans, merchants and art galleries dot the town, in the citadel you may listen to musicians and street performers, it will enchant you.

 

Hiking around the campsite

randonnée autour du campingFrom the vicinity of campsite, you may hike by foot or go by bike several miles in the polder Mousterlin,  discover the secret life of migratory birds.

coucher de soleil au camping For unforgettable sunsets  visit the dune and the point of Mousterlin. It's also a renowned for fishing, shellfish (crabs, cockles, clams and other shellfish ...) and line fishing (mackerel, bass, bream ...).

chevaux au campingThe stud "La mer blanche",only 2 km from the campsite, offers you to go for a ride on horseback and to explore the magnificent views.
